Diamond Custom Homes Earns Consecutive Sand Dollar Awards for Luxury Home Additions
Naples, FL: (October 6, 2026) . . . Diamond Custom Homes has earned its second consecutive Sand Dollar Award for a luxury home addition, winning Best Addition ($750,001–$1,000,000) in the 2026 competition for a second-floor expansion of an estate in Quail West Golf & Country Club.
The recognition reinforces Diamond’s expertise in transforming existing luxury homes to accommodate changing family needs while preserving architectural integrity. The project, the third phase of a larger renovation of the golf course-fronting estate, created a dedicated retreat for visiting children, grandchildren and guests above the existing garage.
The addition also demonstrates the value of Diamond’s in-house architectural design expertise. Director of Architectural Services Karen Velasco-Carter collaborated with the team to integrate the new second story into the existing structure, balancing the homeowners’ need for additional living space with the architectural proportions and character of the original home.

6. Jack 'n Jill Bathroom -- 2026 Sand Dollar Award-winning Jack 'n Jill bathroom addition maximizes the new second-floor space, pairing an elegant arched mirror and textured vanity with sculptural, wave-contoured shower accent tile.
